Introducing ‘Butterfly’

November 17th, 2009

Worth the wait, please let me introduce our new collection ‘Butterfly’!

Butterflies are becoming a more and more popular trend for wedding themes, and you can see why. Not only are they pretty to look at, but they conjour up images of spring and summer, of happiness and sunshine. Love is in the air, flowers blow in the breeze as butterflies dance amongst the flowers.

Beat the credit crunch!

The credit crunch looks like it’s here to stay for a while longer yet, so here at Pink Polar we have launched our ‘Bundle Price’ packages, to help with your wedding budgets.

I know that you Brides out there don’t want to compromise on your stationery, as at the end of the day, it’s the first impression your guests get of your ‘big day’ and you still want all your stationery to match. Our new prices help you get more for your money, making this a more viable option in these trying times. The more items you order, the more you save.

Sorry!

November 2nd, 2009

Sorry to all you out there who have been wondering where the new design collection for October is…

We have been kept busy at Pink Polar with several bespoke designs that are currently on order. We are in the middle of designing a table plan and table numbers for a 1950’s Christmas wedding in December and also underway is a ’star’ themed wedding collection for a lovely couple who are getting married next summer.  Once these are approved I will let you have a preview!

As for my new collection, it will be ready in the next few days (time allowing) so watch this space…

What a venue!

October 13th, 2009

Are you local to Yorkshire and looking for a wedding venue? I have just the place!

On Saturday I went to a wedding at Walton Hall in Wakefield. Having looked on the internet prior to going I was not prepared for the beauty of the place (the photos on their website just do not do the place justice). It is a fantastic venue for a wedding, Walton Hall is a beautiful Georgian Mansion on an Island surrounded by a 26 acre lake.

Save the Date!

October 3rd, 2009

So what are ‘Save the Date’ cards?

‘Save the Date’ cards are a Brides best friend! They are a practical way of announcing your wedding date, making sure that your guests put the date in their diary – ensuring that you have as many of your guests at your wedding as possible! Simple.

Traditionally, wedding invitations are usually sent out approximately 3 months prior to the date of the wedding, but ‘Save the Dates’ can be sent out as soon as you have booked your venue. This is particularly important if you are getting married during the holiday period or if you have guests that are travelling a distance, giving them plenty of time to organise their travel arrangements.

All of our collections at Pink Polar have co-ordinated ‘Save the Date’ cards available. You can put as much or as little information on them as you wish. We can produce them to your specific needs. Here are just some of our designs.

Picture Perfect

September 28th, 2009

The venue is booked, the “Save the Date” cards have been posted and the bridesmaids are in place. What next? Ahh yes, the photographer needs booking.

Choosing the right photographer is extremely important. After all, it is your photographs that capture your day, a piece of history that you will share with your family and friends for years to come.

Along our Pink Polar journey we have had the pleasure of meeting Simon Revill, a professional wedding photographer. His stomping ground is Sheffield, Chesterfield and the Derbyshire area, although he is available for travel throughout the UK and abroad. Highly recommended, his photographs speak for themselves.

The Wedding Season has arrived!

September 10th, 2009

September is here, bringing with it the start of a new Wedding Season.

On Sunday 5th September, Pink Polar attended it’s first Wedding Fayre at Styrrup Hall Golf & Country Club. The doors opened at 11 a.m. and a steady stream of brides-to-be came throughout the day. Mums and friends in tow, excitement was in the air as plans and ideas were discussed and decisions made.

The Manager at Styrrup is Diane Stokoe, an extremely warm and friendly host. She made all of us exhibitors feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. I am sure that she would do everything possible to make sure that any wedding at Styrrup Hall would run as perfectly as it’s surroundings.  The Hall is set in 150 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds dating back to the Doomsday Book.  It has it’s own Banqueting room that can cater for Wedding Receptions holding between 40 and 150 guests depending on the table layout. Recently redecorated for the new season, the latest addition to their facilities is a Bridal Garden accessed directly from the Banqueting room.
